I’d spend 10 hours a day at work and topped it off with a three hour commute to and fro. One meeting after another, never making decisions but only reacting to every new fire that had to be put out.

One night around 8pm after countless meetings and redoing work, my team got to a place of completion on our project and the big boss showed up. He asked a few questions… and decided there were more changes to be made.

Here’s the thing, each change required at least two hours of work. I felt the tension rise in the room. The anger, defeat, heaviness, exhaustion… Everyone wanted to go home to their families, they were done!

But nobody said anything.

Because each person wanted to prove themselves all over, had no courage to stand up for themselves.

What I noticed that day was something missing with me. I wasn’t angry, bitter, or felt defeated as usual. I looked for it because in the past, those feelings were always present. As I was searching, I felt and saw a little girl inside of me.

She looked at me with so much pain in her eye and asked me, “Why are you doing this?  Help me – I don’t want to do this anymore.”

That night was a turning point for me in my career and in my life.  And It could be a turning point for you, as well.

I committed to my higher self  that night which does not include putting myself through the ringer, trying hard to prove my worth to someone, or beating myself up.

A lot of times, we’re hard on ourselves because firstly, we’ve been taught that we must. We think we don’t deserve a good time or a break because we didn’t do what we were supposed to do.

Here’s the key, how can you see your “failures” or “weaknesses” and still forge forward?  It is important for us to see our own weaknesses in order to grow. Without being aware, we will never find the areas for improvement. We must embrace both our highs and lows.

Compassion allows you to do just that – embracing all of you, including your imperfections yet your fears are hard at work to ensure that doesn’t happen.

That’s why I’m here to help you cultivate powerful life skills to help you navigate the insidious fears that come up and rob you of your inner peace and your vision of joy.
